My Honest Review of Decor Addicts Unite Program

Are you new to Instagram or have you been on this platform for awhile but can’t seem to grow? Do you watch other decor accounts and wonder how they have grown? My personal experience with the Decor Addicts Unite Program

That was me back in April 2017, I was a total newbie to the decor Instagram world. I had absolutley no idea about hashtags, the algorithm, photo editing, collaborations and engagement. A couple of months after starting my home decor account, I was asked if I was interested in a program run by Kelly @homewithkelly on Instagram. The program previously was called Decor Newbies Unite which is now Decor Addicts Unite, so i will refer to the program as Decor Addicts.

I had no idea what to expect but, i figured what could it hurt. Shortly after signing up for the program, I immediately knew I had made a good move. When I first started decor addicts I had 400 followers. Within a few days, I had met so many new friends! Who quickly became followers and my biggest supporters!

Hashtags

Once the program began we quickly learned about hashtags, and started our first hashtag #whitespaceswelove. We are on break from the hashtag at the moment, but will be starting back up really soon for the Spring! This group really help me build connections within the Instagram community. I will always LOVE this hashtag for that very reason! The women who join me in this group are a few of my dearest friends I have met on Instagram.

Community

After a couple of weeks incorporating all I had learned in the Decor Addicts Unite program, my Instagram started to quickly grow. I’ll never forget reaching 1K followers! I still remember how amazing that was. With hard work and determination, plus the decor addicts program i now have over 30K followers.

Collaborations

When I first started my Instagram account, I had no idea about collaborations. I would hear larger accounts talking about how they were making money and receiving items from companies to review and post about on Instagram.

Since that time, I have learned all about collaborations. I started off being a brand rep for a few small Etsy shops, and I loved receiving items from these shops to style in my home and post about. I still love supporting these shops to this day! These shop owners work so hard, making their products and I sure am proud anytime I get asked to collaborate with them. I have also grown and started working with some well known businesses. Some send me product in return for a post and photos and others are paid collaborations. This is for another post, but i still believe I would never be here without the Decor Addicts Unite program.

Giveaways

About a year, after starting my Instagram i felt like I wanted to give back to the community. Having made so many new friends, I decided to start my own giveaway group @Mountainretreatloops on Instagram. This year I am taking a break from hosting them for awhile as I took a huge leap last year and started blogging. I’m not sure any of this would have been possible without the valuable information I received in the DAU program! I even signed up for the program for a second time in January 2018!
