Guest Room Update
Since my children are all grown up and moving out of our home, I have recently been updating three spare bedrooms. This bedroom is the most recent one to get an update. I had a few ideas in mind for this bedroom before I even started. My vision for this spare room is that eventually this room would be a nursery for our grandkids, and also a room for them as they grow older.
Farmhouse Daybed
I knew the one thing I wanted in here was a daybed. It took me a little while to decide on one but recently found this one i really like. It is a full-size farmhouse daybed with a twin size trundle underneath. Definitely enough sleeping room for my future grandkids. This room will eventually have a crib and changing table once that time comes!
Beddy’s Bedding
I decided on Beddy’s set for the daybed as each Beddy’s set is all one piece. Beddy’s has so many different styles to choose from but I decided on the Chic White (Minky). Daybeds can be such a pain to make but definitely not with Beddy’s. Every set comes with a sheet, blanket and comforter which goes on your bed like a fitted sheet.
So how does Beddy’s work? Each set has zipper tabs along both sides that meet in the middle at the bottom of the bed. The top completely detaches, so you can unzip it and use as a blanket or stay all zipped up and cozy. The minky lining is the softest fabric. The bottom sheet is sewn in so it always stays in place. They also come with a pillow case and sham.

Timberchic Wall
I had the pleasure of working with Timberchic on this beautiful feature wall. This product is peel and stick white oak in the color Slate – From the Woods collection. It took us a matter of a few hours to install with only a few tools. Paint can be so boring and we wanted to give this room a different look, really love how it turned out!

Ruggable Rugs
Have you ever heard of Ruggable? Can you believe this buffalo check rug is washable. This 8 x 10 rug fits into my washing machine and comes out beautifully wash after wash. Ruggable’s rug system comes in two pieces. It has the lightweight removable rug cover and non-slip rug pad that keeps the cover securely in place. When it’s time to wash it you simply peel off the cover and throw it in the wash. This rug is perfect in here especially because eventually there will lots of little feet in this room!
Simple Fall Touches
Of course, I had to add a few fall touches as we are quickly approaching the fall season. Fall is my favorite season so I usually start adding some sprinkles of fall décor around my home in late August. By September, it is full pumpkin everything over here! I love mustard color this year and when I found this throw blanket at Homegoods I knew it would be the perfect accent for this room!
